The Emo Social Club Podcast

More like 20nineSCENE am I right?

Episode Summary

It’s the end of the first (for reals) week back to work/school/reality/hell whatever you may classify your daily lifestyle as AND we’re back with a new episode for the new year! Our NYE’s were fine, but we jump straight into discussing the R. Kelly Abuse Allegations and how we as a society ignore black girls and women. Alternatively (literally) how come we don’t discuss the very real scenarios that happen in the emo-pop-punk scene with underage dating? We’ve all seen that Hard Times article about “Pop Punk Frontman Ends Set Before 10PM So 17 Year-Old Girlfriend Can Get Home Without Breaking Curfew” or something along those lines. Of course we laugh, because it’s satire of what we see in the scene-but then why aren’t we openly discussing this on a serious level? Can’t stop, won’t stop with the Politalks! New Year, Same(ish) format. Also, we want to hear from you! Let us know what you want us to cover topic wise. Is there a hard news topic we haven’t talked about? More band interviews? TELL US!
